Challenge

Gleaned from a holistic look at the big picture, CKR Interactive's solutions are fresh and unique, which is why they chose to use video as a recruitment tool for their client Riverbed Technology, a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 company. Riverbed provides a top-level comprehensive WAN optimization solution, which increases network productivity and improves the efficiency of network infrastructures. CKR and Riverbed came up with a plan for 6 videos to illustrate the benefits of working for Riverbed Technology. Each of the 6 videos would feature a staff member interview against a white backdrop. Each employee provided various pictures from both their personal and professional lives, which would be used in the video. As far as they knew, all they needed was a production company to pull it all together. They placed the call to Beyond Pix Studios to get the ball rolling.

Execution

When CKR contacted Beyond Pix Creative Services, they spoke to Producer Lorelle Strange and shared their idea. Producer Strange composed the interview questions for each employee, compiled their pictures and got to thinking about how to increase the impact of Riverbed’s message. What if the videos were organized not by staff member, but by theme? Strange worked with CKR to recreate the proposed series. Instead of merely profiling 6 different employees on 6 different videos, she suggested that the videos be organized around specific messages, featuring the comments and stories of several employees in each video. This new dynamic approach added creativity, motion and depth to the videos. But Riverbed still wanted to use the collection of still shots provided by the staff members. Beyond Pix Graphic Designer Jim Darski created an introduction graphic that included all the pictures coming together to create Riverbed’s logo – a clear message that Riverbed is it’s people. CKR was so pleased with the creativity and flexibility of Beyond Pix Studios that they now collaborate with Beyond Pix Studios for all their video needs.
